Guilty Until Proven Innocent - Going to Hollywood
This is the true story of a decorated NYC Police Lt. Detective and former World War II bomber pilot, Jack Jennings.
After Jennings retired from the police force, he started a successful armored car company. When it was robbed one night of $11.4 million dollars (the biggest such crime in American history), the politically ambitious DA waged a five-year-long persecution of Jennings, knowing he did not commit the crime.
This is the story of how Jennings, with the help of his nurse-turned-lawyer daughter, eventually proved his innocence.
I adapted the book into a screenplay, which is now being shopped to Hollywood.
